After discussions with a number of firms, we have decided that the support for Working Papers 2018 will cease on 30th June 2020.

If your firm is unable to meet this deadline, please contact us to explain the challenges you are facing and to see how we can help you.

This has been, and remains, a very challenging time for all of us and your cooperation deploying updates is appreciated.

Before beginning any installation we strongly recommend that you have backups of your data files, and the following user-defined components:

C:\Program Files (x86)\CaseWare\Resources\Databases [CDB1.cdx ,CDB1.dbf, CDB1.fpt, CDBPC.cdx, CDBPC.dbf & CDBPC.fpt]

C:\Program Files (x86)\CaseWare\Resources\Knowledge Library\Custom [all files]

C:\Program Files (x86)\CaseWare\Resources\StyleSheets [firm.sty & trst-firm.sty]

If you use SmartSync, we also recommend you refer to the 'SmartSync - Setup and User Guide' document, which can be found in the Release Documentation folder,  here.

Working Papers 2019 contains our Customer Experience Improvement Programme. The inclusion of this programme will allow us to:

1.) Understand at a granular level how you are using our product and how we can improve this experience for you

2.) Measure the impact and acceptance of the product improvements we are making

3.) Accelerate the pace of iteration, innovation and decision-making

We want to assure you that we will not be capturing any personally identifiable information or client data; the metrics we record will be used strictly to help us make better product decisions and will not be used for marketing purposes. For details on the current features we will track, please refer to Appendix A.

We have partnered with Amplitude, a San Francisco based company, to integrate their solution within Working Papers. Amplitude is an analytics provider that allows teams to make product decisions based on user behaviour data. They are SOC2 Type 2 and ISO27001 certified and GDPR compliant. The information captured and processed through Amplitude is owned and controlled by CaseWare International Inc.

We encourage all our customers to participate in the programme, so will be collecting this data by default with an option in the software for end users to disable the functionality, if they wish. Instructions on how to manage this functionality can be obtained from our support department.

We want to make you aware of a known issue with installing WP 2019 in a Citrix/TS environment. Unfortunately, the latest version of Install Shield conflicts with a setting in Citrix/TS and prevents WP from installing. A workaround for this is to install Working Papers on Citrix in silent mode e.g. setup.exe/s/v”/qn”.

This release incorporates the latest ePacks in the full template installation.

Please see below what steps to take to get onto the latest Working Papers version (2019.00.227), depending on which version you are currently running.
